"Real Music - Real Lives" - A Documentary Film of Our Musical Lives, Is Slowly But Surely Moving Along!

The documentary film on our musical lives, "Real Music: Real Lives," produced by Brad L Johnson and directed by Paul Perreault, is now in post-production, and the initial trailer is now available to be viewed below! The film itself, similar to the trailer, will contain a large collection of our original music and "original" friends and family from throughout the country! It was a hoot to make, and will be a hoot to watch! It will be available on DVD, in many national film festivals and ultimately in a streaming service!

Our friends, followers, and other interested and excited people are NOW able to contribute to the effort on the crowdsourcing site Indiegogo, and there are a number of perks available to all, from CDs and DVDs to photographs and festival tickets, all the way up to a percentage of the film itself!

Who Are We, and What Are We doing Every Tuesday?

We're contemporary folk/pop singers from the heart of Maine, back in Maine after a 5 year sojourn in Arizona, settled in on Pushaw Lake in Glenburn, just outside of beautiful downtown Bangor.

We had a "Nexus" Of Events on February 15th, 2022:  Our 100th Online Show, Our Seventh Annual Valentine's Day Show, The Release Of Our New Album "Real Music Three," and the Official Launch of Our IndieGogo Fund Raising Campaign for our Upcoming Documentary Film "Real Music, Real Lives."

As usual we're always there with our dogs and cats from the comfort of our living room.  "Tickets" are always free, and donations are accepted graciously.

We're here with great friends and our family of dogs and cats. We've played our eclectic mix of originals and covers in coffeehouses, fairs, bars, restaurants, house concerts/private parties, and benefits, and now in a long running series on facebook! Our albums of covers and original music are available for purchase, both on CD and digitally. Give us a listen and contact us! We just recently completed THREE new collections of original music, Real Music Real Music Two, AND NOW Real Music Three! available on CDBaby in CD and digital download form. One of the tracks of Real Music Two is the song Restless, a bit of an autobiographical tune with words by Leslie and music by Larry:

In Arizona we typically hung out at our "regular"  Camp Verde coffeehouse music night/open stage and played a few folk/rock originals, and also play listening rooms, house concerts, fairs, and other concert venues.  In Bangor and the surrounding area we have been seen at various listening rooms, open stages, jams, and festivals.  We're equally at home with our original music and stories, and covers of Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Donna Summer, James Taylor, and Taylor Swift.  Fans are reminded of the old days in Greenwich Village! It seems to be all about finding the right mix of music for the right crowd. We had a coffeehouse gig where we'd showcase a show of our original music, then a morning at a Farmer's Market where we'd play mostly light covers, songs like Crazy, Do You Know the Way to San Jose, and California Dreamin'.

We have six CDs of music, five of them almost completely original (Little by Little, That's Life, Real Music, Real Music Two, and Real Music Three), and a CD of Woody Guthrie style folk tunes (including This Land is Your Land of course). All of these are digitally available on iTunes. We don't have an official recording of a more modern collection of cover tunes, but we never miss a chance to play them wherever we go. A number of these in mp3 form are on this website and available on request. Just send us an email.

The musicians here in the midcoast Maine region are an eclectic mix of musicians, a healthy mix of those with downeast roots and those who have come "from away" (as they say in DownEast, Maine).  The music is a mixture of folk, rolk, pop, jazz, country, blue grass, and blues. Although our roots are firmly planted in the "60's and '70's, we draw from older as well as newer forms of music, equally at home with Appalachian folk and modern alt music. Take a look at our site and listen to some of our music!
